7 Using it as USB Memory
It can also be used as USB Memory.
The memory capacity is approximately 64MB (including the program use range).
Note
Do not pull out the USB Key while the USB Key is reading and writing.
Depending on each customer's environment, there are cases where USB memory
cannot be displayed on Explorer.
In this case, make settings by the following procedure.

Right click on "My Computer" then

Left click the "Change" button.
left click on "Manage".

Left click the pull-down menu on the
right side, then select the open Drive
Letter and click "OK".

environment of each customer's personal
computer.

Left click "Computer Management
(Local)" – "Storage" – "Disk
Management".

Right click on the object volume
name (REMOVABLE/UD-ROM) then
click on "Change Drive Letter and
Paths".
Removing the USB key

An icon will be displayed in the task bar to the bottom right of the screen. Click the
icon to call forward the "Safely remove USB Mass Storage Device". (Screen is a
Windows XP screen.)

When the following message is displayed, remove the USB key from the USB port.
Caution
When using Windows 2000, after first installing the driver and removing the device, it is
impossible to do so from the task bar at the bottom right of the screen. To remove the device,
select the USB key drive from "My Computer" right-clicking on the icon to remove the drive.
Check to make sure that the LED of the USB key has turned off, and remove from the task
bar. From the second time onwards, the device may be removed directly from the task bar.
Formatting the USB key
Simply by inserting the USB key into a computer, there are two areas which may be used to store
data: a ROM area and a removable disk area.
The methods used to format these two areas differ.
7 ROM area
The ROM area cannot be format using a standard Windows formatting operation (i.e., by right-
clicking on the icon from "My Computer").
7 Removable disk area
May be formatted using a standard Windows format operation. When doing so, all data on the
removable disk will be lost. Before formatting, copy all necessary data to a hard disk or other
medium.
