The cycles are designed to fit a variety of situations. Select the cycle and setting that best match the load
contents and desired results for maximum performance and fabric care.

Heavy / Normal / Light
Refreshes clothes with high temperature steam and vibration. The cycle helps
reduce odors and wrinkles in clothes.
Suits, coats, school uniforms, scarves, wool, knitwear, outdoor/performance
clothing, towels, underwear, t-shirts, socks, jeans, jean jackets, lingerie,
sportswear, tablecloths
• Only use this cycle with washable clothing because it uses steam.
• The appliance uses steam to smooth out wrinkles in clothing. Some
wrinkles may remain after the cycle and can be ironed out if desired.
• The amount of wrinkle reduction depends on the weight and fabric of the
clothes.
Suits/Coats: Refreshes clothes with low temperature steam and vibration. The
setting is designed to help care for suits and coats containing natural fibers.
Pants Crease: Smooths out wrinkles and helps to put a crease in pants.
The default downloaded cycle is Ready to Go which is a cold weather warm up for
clothes and outerwear. Download a new cycle using the LG ThinQ application on a
smartphone.
Normal / Bedding / Kid's Item / Heavy Duty
Use this cycle to reduce germs and to dry items. Choose this cycle for clothing,
bedding, and children's clothing and soft toys. Quilts or blankets should be a
single layer and weigh 3.3 lb (1.5 kg) or less.
Suits, coats, school uniforms, scarves, outdoor/performance clothing, towels,
underwear, t-shirts, socks, jeans, jean jackets, lingerie, sportswear, tablecloths
• Do not use this cycle for wool or knitwear, because the high temperatures
and steam can cause shrinkage.
• Natural fibers must be marked washable/hand-washable and tumble dry,
to avoid shrinkage.
• Do not use with items containing rubber, foam, or adhesive.
