in the instructions.
General requirements
• Important! Explosive gases are
given off when batteries are char-
ged. Avoid fire, naked flames and
spark formation.
• Protect the charger from humidi-
ty and moisure!
• Charge batteries only in well-ven-
tilated rooms. There is a risk of
explosion caused by the formati-
on of electrolytic gases.
• Do not charge maintenance-free
batteries together with standard
batteries.
• The charger must be set up in
such a way that the fan can blow
freely.
Important!
The fan must be checked to
ensure that it is working
correctly whenever the charger
is used. Switch off the charger
immediately if the fan is faulty.

Bosch customer service.
Electrical safety

the charging leads must be in
perfect condition.

clips.
Discription
The charger was developed as a
high-performance workshop char-
ger with electronic, characteristic
control. Both maintenance-free and
standard batteries can be charged.
Special features and
advantages:
Smoothed output voltage
The output voltage of the charger
is smoothed and has a high
degree of interference immunity
with respect to the vehicle
electrical system.
This means that batteries can be
charged without disconnecting
them from the vehicle electrical
system.
Electronic components in the
vehicle electrical system are not
damaged.
Polarity protection
In the event of polarity reversal, the
charger does not switch on the
charging voltage between battery
and charger.
Back-up operation
In these modes, the vehicle
electrical system is supplied whilst
a battery is being changed
(back-up).
For safety reasons, the output
current is restricted to
max. 1.5..3 A.
This current is sufficient to supply
smaller loads and electronic
memories.
Design
The charger consists of a steel plate
casing with a baseplate, a front pla-
te and a cover. The fan and the
rating plate are located on the rear
of the cover.
