E8KE-X16-SFUC-200SP. The switching network responsible for switching data between LPUs/SPUs is a key component of the USG9580. The USG9580 uses switching chips developed by Huawei and Memory-Crossbar-Memory (M-C-M) to provide three-level switching. Level-1 and level-3 switching use a shared-memory model and are performed on LPUs/SPUs; level-2 switching uses a Crossbar model and is performed on SFUs.

Optical fibers connect to the interface on the USG9500 through an optical module. Select optical modules and fibers based on peer device interfaces. NOTICE You are advised to use Huawei optical modules. Optical modules from other vendors may cause incompatibility issues and lead to faults on the USG9500. Structure and Appearance Optical fibers are classified into single-mode and multi-mode optical fibers.
Precautions for Assembly Use dedicated tools or tools from Huawei and follow the assembly procedure. When installing or removing cable components, handle the cable terminals instead of the cables.
