Writing and Sending Mes-
sages
The editor for processing messages
has a single line.
A message can have a maximum of
160 characters.
When a message is sent it is first for-
warded to the Service Centre. In most
cases, the Service Centre Number is al-
ready entered. Otherwise you must en-
ter this manually (
The Service Centre number is available
from your network provider.
Menu

Enter the message text.
(See the right column for
writing text).
After entering the message text:

Select.
Select
Confirm the prompt for
sending the text message.

Enter the number or dial
from the PhoneBook.
Send MessageConfirm.

Press to send.
You are advised when your message
has been sent, then you can save it.
It will appear in your sent message
list.

Writing Text
Press the digit keys repeatedly until
the character you want appears. The
cursor advances after a short delay.

Press once briefly for A, twice
for B, etc.

Press briefly to erase the char-
acter preceding the cursor,
hold down to erase the whole
word.
Press to switch between up-
per case and lower case let-
ters. The first character is writ-
ten in upper case as standard.

Press to create a space.
1 / Ä Numbers and letters with ac-
cents appear after letters.

Press briefly to move the cur-
sor from character to charac-
ter. Hold down to move from
word to word.
