    Preparation Removing the insulating strip Remove the insulating plastic strip from the battery if the battery is being used for the first time. It is located at the bottom back side of the remote control. Battery Replacement for the Remote Control The remote control requires a CR2032, 3V Lithium battery.

    This instruction manual explains the basic instructions for operating this unit. Unless otherwise stated, all operations described are based on remote control use. Basic Operation The first time you switch your unit on it will automatically start to scan for DAB radio stations, so make sure you have fully extended your aerial.

    Daily Timer This function allows you to program the unit to automatically switch on from standby at a certain time everyday. 1. Press and hold TIMER until “ON TIMER“ is displayed. 2. Press repeatedly on the remote control to select the hour you want the unit to switch on.

    DAB Radio Operation Make sure you have fully extended the aerial. Press the MODE button to select DAB source. “DAB Radio” will breifly appear on the display. 1. The first time the unit is switched on to DAB mode the unit will automatically start scanning.

    Manual Tuning You can also manually tune the unit, which can help if you know your unit has missed stations while performing a SCAN. You will need to know which multiplex the missing radio station is in. 1. Press MENU, press to select MANUAL TUNE.

    DAB Information Display You can view the DAB service information in the following modes. Depending on the DAB radio station you are tuned into, some information modes may be unavailable. Press the INFO button repeatedly on the remote control to view the following information. DLS (Dynamic Label Segment) Dynamic label segment is a scrolling message that the broadcaster may include with their transmissions.

    DRC (Dynamic Range Compression) If you are listening to music with high dynamic range in a noisy environment, you may wish to compress the audio dynamic range. 1. Press MENU, then press to highlight DRC then press ENTER. 2. Press to select DRC high/low/off and press ENTER button to confirm.

    FM Radio Operation • Make sure the aerial is fully extended, away from any electrical devices that could cause interference. • If reception is still poor, try to adjust the FM/DAB aerial location. Press the MODE button to select FM RADIO source. The words “FM RADIO” will be briefly be displayed.

    Presetting Stations You can store up to 30 stations to the memory, allowing access to your favourite stations quickly and easily. 1. To store a preset, you must first be listening to the station that you want to save. 2. Press and hold PRESET/MEM to activate program mode.
