3-8. VBS Output Level Adjustment

When fi ne adjustment is required for the VBS outputs, perform the following procedure.
Equipment: Waveform monitor or oscilloscope
Test Point: VBS connector
Preparation
Make the following settings on the COLOR BARS page.
MENU: MAINTENANCE
PAGE: COLOR BARS
ITEM: BARS: ON
SD BARS: SMPTE
Adjustment Procedure
1. Open the following menu.
MENU: SERVICE
PAGE: VDA-ADJ
ITEM: VBS-GAIN
2. Adjust VBS-GAIN with the waveform monitor so that 100% White of the color-bar becomes the following level.
NTSC: 714 mV (100 IRE)
PAL: 700 mV
