1. Raise the seat to gain access to the fuse holder (Fig. 61).

2. To replace a fuse, pull out on the fuse to remove it
(Fig. 61).

Checking the Electrolyte Level
1. Shut off the engine and wait for all moving parts to
stop.
2. Open the hood.
3. Look at the side of the battery. The electrolyte must be
up to the upper line (Fig. 62).

Note: Do not allow the electrolyte to get below the
lower line (Fig. 62).
4. If the electrolyte is low, add the required amount of
distilled water; refer to Adding Water to the Battery on
page 45.
Installing the Battery
1. Position the battery in the tray with the terminal posts
toward the engine (Fig. 63).
