nano UIM card
The nano UIM card is an IC card that stores
information such as your telephone number.
• This cell phone uses only nano UIM card.
Bring your mini UIM card, or UIM card to a
Shop to exchange it.
• If the nano UIM card is not inserted,
the functions such as making/receiving
calls, sending/receiving SMS, and packet
communication are not available.
• In Japan, if the nano UIM card is not inserted,
the emergency calls (110, 119, 118) cannot
be made.
• For details about nano UIM card, refer to the
instruction manual for nano UIM card.

Confirmation and Settings before Using
nano UIM card Security Codes
You can set the security code named PIN
in nano UIM card. "0000" is set at the time
of subscription. Customers can change PIN
afterwards. For details about PIN of nano UIM
card, refer to "PIN code" (P184).
Inserting/Removing nano UIM
card
• Turn off this cell phone before inserting/
removing the nano UIM card. Make sure to
remove the AC adapter from this cell phone in
time of charging.
• To remove the tray, use the supplied SIM
eject tool (sample).
