Step
1
Preparing the Plow
No Parts Required
Procedure
1. With the plow attached to a traction unit, stop
the traction unit and stop the engine.
2. Move the auxiliary hydraulics lever back and
forth a few times to relieve hydraulic pressure
in the plow, then disconnect the plow hydraulic
couplers from the traction unit.
Hydraulic fluid escaping under pressure
can penetrate skin and cause injury.
Fluid injected into the skin must be
surgically removed within a few hours by
a doctor familiar with this form of injury
or gangrene may result.
• Keep your body and hands away from
pin hole leaks or nozzles that eject
high pressure hydraulic fluid.
• Use cardboard or paper to find
hydraulic leaks; never use your hands.
3. Disconnect the plow from the traction unit.
4. Remove and save the male and female quick
couplers from the ends of the plow hoses.
Discard the adaptor between the couplers and
the hoses (Figure 1).
