  • Page 10 Warning and Safety instructions  Always remember that times for cooking, reheating and defrosting in a microwave oven are usually considerably shorter than with traditional methods of cooking food. Excessively long cooking times can lead to food drying out and burning, or could even cause it to catch fire.

Although heat is not normally produced in the container itself by the microwaves (apart from stoneware), heat transfer from the food to the container may be considerable, making the container itself hot. The dish is only warmed by the heat of the food.
