When
satisfactory
reception is not
obtained
with
the
telescopic antenna, connect an FM outdoor antenna using a
75-ohm
coaxial
cable to the FM
ANTENNA
terminal on
the
rear.
This cable is free from external
interference,
reduces noise
pickup,
and is the
ideal transmission
line
for most FM
installations.

most areas, the
built-in
ferrite bar antenna
will
provide
satisfactory
reception.
In difficult reception areas, it may be
necessary
to connect a
length
of
insulated
wire 5

meters

50 feet)
long
to AM ANTENNA terminal.
If
possible,
extend this out of doors keeping the greater portion
horizontal.
Antenna ground
connection
When
an outdoor antenna is
installed,
the direct connection
of the 4,
(ground) terminal
to a good ground is
recommended.
