Safety instruction
Please follow the items below to prevent damages on humans and properties.
Warning： Contents that might cause death or serious injury.
Caution： Contents that might cause minor injury or damage on property.
Warning
● Do not modify, disassemble or repair. It could cause fire, electric shock or injury.
Please contact shop or the customer service center of SHARP for repair.
● Do not soak in water or sprinkle water on it. Do not use in bathroom, place with high humidity, or wet place.
It could cause electric shock, short circuit, fire or failure.
● Do not handle the plug cord roughly. Do not damage, deform or modify it. Keep it away from the high
temperature sections. Do not bend forcibly. Do not twist. Do not put any heavy goods on it.
Do not clamp it. Do not use it bundled. It could cause short circuit.
● Do not wind the body with the cord after use. Do not leave the cord twisted. It could cause disconnection,
electric shock or short circuit.
● Do not use when the plug/cord is damaged, deformed, twisted or hot. Do not use when insertion to a
socket is loose. It could cause electric shock, short circuit or fire.
● Do not insert or pull off the power plug with a wet hand. It could cause electric shock or shortcircuit.
● Insert the power plug all the way. If not, fire, electric shock or burning could be caused.
● Use in regions in which AC 100 ～ 120V or 200 ～ 240V is supplied. Do not use sockets together with
extension cord or other equipment. It could cause heating, fire or electric shock.
● Remove dust on the power plug. If not, fire could be caused.
● Please set the main switch to "OFF" and pull off the power plug from a socket before the maintenance
or after use. If not, fire, burning, electric shock or injury could be caused.
● When pulling off the power plug, do not hold the cord but the power plug at the top. It could cause
disconnection, and fire or electric shock.
● Do not use with the voltage switch at "100/120V" and voltage power of 200 ～ 240V. It could cause fire, burning or failure.
● Do not use for baby or infant. Keep it away from babies and infants. Do not allow children/babies/infants to use it.
It could cause electric shock, burning or injury.
● Do not use at where close to a flammable object (gasoline, benzine, thinner, spray, gas etc.)
It could cause explosion or fire.
● Do not put hair spray or combustible hair dressing on the body while using. It could cause fire, electric
shock or burning.
● Do not leave the body/accessories with hair dressing etc. on it. It could cause failure, color change or crack.
● Do not look into the air outlet while using. It could cause injury or burning.
● Do not use by putting on desk or floor with the air inlet downward. Do not close the air inlet/outlet.
Do not put on combustible objects or objects that are weak for heat. Do not leave with the power switch on.
It could cause fire or burning.
● Do not use with a wet hand. It could cause electric shock or short circuit.
● Do not put foreign objects such as hairpin or wire from the air inlet/outlet. It could cause fire, electric
shock or abnormal operation.
● Stop using immediately and contact shop or the customer service center of SHARP for repair in any of the cases below.
If not, fire, electric shock or burning could be caused.
・The inside gets red or discharges smoke.
・The base section of power plug/cord is deformed or damaged.
・The body is abnormally hot or deformed partially.
・There is noise caused by moving of a foreign substance.
・Other abnormality or failure.
● In case that there are sparks at the air outlet while operating at the hot mode, set the main switch to
"OFF" immediately, and remove dust on the air outlet and inlet.It could cause fire or burning.
Caution
● Do not drop or hit. It could cause electric shock or fire.
● Do not use for any purposes other than drying/dressing of human hair. Do not use to pets, clothing,
shoes, wigs, and hairpieces. It could cause fire, burning or failure.
● Do not use for business. Do not put at where unspecified number of people uses. It could cause failure
by continuous overload.
● Do not touch the air outlet or nozzle for setting while or right after using, because they are hot. Attach,
remove or clean the nozzle for setting after it gets cold completely. If not, may cause burn.
● Keep hair away from the air inlet for at least 10cm. Do not use the back cover damaged. Hair might be
caught and cut, or burning or failure might be caused.
● Keep hair away from the air outlet for at least 3cm. Hair could be burnt.
● When folding or unfolding the handle, be careful not to clamp a finger at the point of "○"
shown in the drawing on the right. It could cause injury.
● If using cosmetics that include fluororesin or silicon at where close to the
body, fluororesin or silicon attaches to the inside of body, and it becomes
difficult to generate the plasmacluster ion. Please maintain the unit frequently.
