is a smooth DC voltage and is therefore suitable for
supplying the vehicle electrical system with the vehicle
battery.
i
The charger only establishes supply to the charging
clips once correct battery voltage polarity has been
detected.

Backup mode

In backup mode, the BAT 490 can power the electrical
equipment in a vehicle in place of a battery. Backup
mode can be used for example to maintain a supply of
power to the electrical equipment in a vehicle when
changing a battery. The output voltage of the BAT 490
is a smooth DC voltage and is therefore suitable for
backup of the vehicle electrical system even without
a vehicle battery.
