MAD and MAF motors have permanently greased bearings. For details about
available bearing variants and their bearing lifetime depending on the shaft
and bearing load refer to project planning manual
Motors MAD/MAF.
MAD motors may only be operated with a fan. Cooling takes place via air
streams which are guided over the surface of the motor by air baffles.
To ensure that the axial fan can move the required air volume, a minimum
distance for letting the air in and out must be kept between the fan grille and
the machine. This distance is based on the motor construction.
