Step 1: Removing the Top Panel of the Main Unit

Caution
If this option is installed incorrectly, personal injury or damage to
peripheral items may occur due to fire, shock, or other accidental
circumstances. To avoid such risks, consult your Sony dealer or a Sony
service representative for installation.
Proceed as follows to attach the front panel assembly (hereinafter called
"the option panel") to the PDW-F70/F75 (hereinafter called "the main
unit").

Remove the screws (7) that secure the top panel of the main unit,
in the order illustrated below.

Note
When reattaching the top panel, fasten the screws in the same
numerical order shown above.

Remove the top panel as follows:
Pull the left and right sides of the top panel away from each other
(1) then lift the top panel toward you (2) and up (3).
