    Connections NOTE: Do not connect or disconnect cables when turning on the monitor’s main power or other external equipment’s power as this may result in a loss of image. NOTE: Do not use an attenuating (built-in resistor) audio cable. Use an audio cable without a built-in resistor. Using an audio cable with a built-in resistor will lower the sound level.

    Connecting to a Personal Computer The type of video connections that can be used to connect to a computer depends on the computer’s display adapter. The following table show the typical factory preset signal timing for each connection type. Some display cards may not be able to support the required resolution for proper image reproduction with the selected connection.

    HDR-HYBRID LOG Gamma setting for HDR, typically for UHD broadcasting. System gamma can be adjusted. PROGRAMMABLE1, 2, 3 A programmable gamma curve can be loaded using optional NEC software. AUTO HDR SELECT GAMMA correction of HDR signal automatically changes to [HDR-ST2084 (PQ)] or [HDR-HYBRID LOG].

    SCHEDULE SCHEDULE SETTINGS Creates a working schedule for the monitor. Press the pq, +, - buttons to navigate and change the schedule settings. Press the SET/ZOOM on the remote or Input change buttons on the monitor to select settings. NOTE: Please set [DAY & TIME] before configuring the [SCHEDULE SETTINGS]. When the [SCHEDULE SETTINGS] window is closed, any schedules that you set are saved.

    DAYLIGHT SAVING Sets daylight savings on or off. NOTE: Please set the [TIME & DATE] setting first if you change the [DAYLIGHT SAVING] setting.   • Page 41 TILE MATRIX Allows one image to be expanded and displayed over multiple screens (up to 100) through a distribution amplifier. NOTE: Low resolution is not suitable for tiling to a large number of monitors. You can operate without a distribution amplifier at a lower number of screens. This function is released when selecting [SCREEN SAVER] or [IMAGE FLIP] except for [NONE].

    DISPLAY PROTECTION POWER SAVE Set [ENABLE] or [DISABLE]. If you set it to [ENABLE], set how long the monitor waits to go into power save mode after signal is lost. For more details please check the [POWER INDICATOR] (See page 42).

    SLOT2 CH SETTING Selects signal type according to the slot 2 type option specifications. AUTO Sets the signal type automatically. Fills the screen entirely with the signal which is selected in [SLOT2 CH SELECT]. The DisplayPort signal is displayed on the left half of the screen, the TMDS signal is displayed on the right half.
  • Page 47 As with all personal display devices, NEC DISPLAY SOLUTIONS recommends displaying moving images and using a moving screen saver at regular intervals whenever the screen is idle, or turn off the monitor’s main power or set it to standby when not in use.

NOTE: Multiple monitors that are daisy-chained have a limit to the connectable monitors.     Controlling the monitor via LAN Control Connecting to a Network Using a LAN cable allows you to specify the Network Settings and the Alert Mail Settings by using an HTTP server function. To use a LAN connection, you are required to assign an IP address. The monitor will obtain an IP address automatically when connected to a DHCP network.
