Maintaining the ion outlets

If sparks occur inside the ion outlets, this may be due to
the electrodes becoming dirty, resulting in abnormal
discharge. If this happens, clean the parts of the inside
of the ion outlets in accordance with the cleaning
method below.
Clean only after turning off the power and removing
•
the cord from the power outlet.
Use a cotton swab to lightly rub (about 5 times) the
•
point of the needle that is inside the ion outlets.
We recommend the thin cotton swabs made for use
•
with babies. Although regular cotton swabs will work,
they may be hard to insert into the outlets.
Do not use hard objects to clean, or allow hard objects
•
to come into contact with, the parts of the ion outlets
so as to avoid causing them to become deformed,
which would affect the discharge of ion and be
dangerous.
