These work in degrees, radians and gradians modes. In addition, π is provided as a function on the right-shifted “cos” key.
  • Page 3 The sine of π/2 radians is calculated as exactly 1. Answers will not always be exact as in this case. The HP 33S works with 12 decimal digits, so trigonometric calculations can be expected to be accurate to 12 decimal places. For example the sine of π radians is calculated as 2×10 , displayed as 2E-13, which is correctly equal to zero to 12 decimal places.
