4. Insert the dipstick into the oil-filler neck, then
remove the dipstick.
5. Check the oil level on the dipstick
Note:
If you overfill the engine with oil, drain
the excess oil; refer to
(page 20).

high—remove oil from
the crankcase.
6. If the oil level is below the upper limit, wipe
the dipstick with a clean rag and repeat steps
3 through 5 until the engine-oil level is at the
upper limit mark.
7. Insert the dipstick into the oil-filler neck and
hand tighten the dipstick securely.
