Open, close, switch apps

Open and close apps
To open an app, touch its icon on the home screen, or swipe up from the bottom of your

• To switch to an app, touch it in the list.

View notifications

Find your notifications
Apps send notifications to alert you about things like new messages, calendar events, and alarms.
You can check your notifications from a few places:
