FUEL SYSTEM
14. Carefully slide the fuel tank rearward while rotating it
slightly towards the right-rear of the vehicle. Once the
front-left of the tank clears the battery box, angle the
rear of the tank upwards and out of the frame.

FUEL TANK INSTALLATION

WARNING
Fuel is extremely flammable and may cause severe
burns, injury, or death. Do not use any device that
produces a flame or electrical devices that may spark
around fuel or fuel vapors.
1. Carefully reinstall the fuel tank assembly into the
frame. Install the screws attaching the fuel tank to the
frame. Torque screws to specification.
TORQUE
Fuel Tank Screw Torque:
8 ft-lbs (11 Nm)
2. Reinstall the seat bracket assembly. Install the two
rear screws and
specification.
TORQUE
Seat Bracket to Frame Fasteners:
30 ft-lbs (41 Nm)
3. Reinstall the screws that attach the seat channels to
the frame. Torque screws to specification.
TORQUE
Seat Channels to Frame Screw Torque:
11 ft-lbs (15 Nm)
4. Connect the fuel pump electrical harness, the fuel
line, and the vent line. Verify the fuel line is locked in
to place by lightly tugging on the connector at the fuel
pump.
5. Loosely reinstall the left and right rocker panels.
6. Install the battery and hold down bracket. Reconnect
the positive (+) and then the negative (-) battery
cables.
7. Install the left and right seat covers. Install screws
and plastic rivets into the seat panels and rocker
panels.
8. Install the engine compartment access panel.
9. Reinstall the seat assembly.
