    Microsoft Lync™ is a branch office survivable voice server for the Microsoft Lync solution. The HP MSR SBM is an HP MSR application running on a HP MSR Open Architecture Platform (OAP) Module. The module is installed in an HP MSR 30 Series or MSR 50 Series Router at the branch office.

    You can install or remove a FIC-OAP module while the HP MSR50 router is on. The MIM-OAP module and MIM-OAPS module are not hot-swappable. You must turn off the HP MSR30 router before installing or removing the MIM-OAP or MIM-OAPS module.

You can determine when this process is complete by viewing the SYS status LED, which slowly flashes in green color when the module is ready.     Therefore, after installing the OAP module, obtain connectivity to the HP MSR SBM's management interface, and then you can access the HP MSR SBM and install the system by using the Setup Wizard. You have two choices for reaching the HP MSR SBM: on its domain name or IP address.

    • Viewing the initial management IP address from the DHCP server The serial number of the HP MSR SBM is the default host name of the HP MSR SBM. You can query the assigned IP address by viewing the host name displayed on the DHCP server.
  • Page 15 You can view the initial management IP address, mask, and gateway assigned by the DHCP server. If the HP MSR SBM has received a self-assigned IP address beginning with 169.254, check the network configuration to make the DHCP server assigns a valid IP address.

    The initial user name and password is SBMAdmin and P@ssw0rd respectively. Resetting the local administrator's password After logging in to the HP MSR SBM for the first time, you need to reset the local administrator's password, as shown in Figure To reset the password: Enter user name, old password, new password, and confirm password.
