Quick Guide For Using The Infrared Object Exchange
Application with the Nokia 9110 Communicator
What is The Infrared object exchange application ?
The Infrared object exchange is an application for the Nokia 9110 Communicator which enables file
transfer from the communicator to another device or vice versa. The device has to support Ir Obex
(infrared object exchange protocol). One such device is, for example, Hewlett Packard's CapShare 910
scanner. You can also transfer files over Ir between two communicators (9110-9110, 9000i-9110 or
9000i-9000i) that have this Infrared object exchange application installed.
From the Nokia 9110 Communicator you can send files by fax or as email attachments. You can also
transfer files to your PC and use them in your Windows applications or print them out.
Please note: this software is only compatible with the Nokia 9110 Communicator. The Nokia
9000i/9000iL have their own version of this software.
