    MAC-V700 6. ADJUSTMENT 6.1 PREPARATION FOR ADJUSTMENT OF THE UNIT ¶ Outline of Adjustment ¶ Tools to be prepared 1. Adjustment of Mechanical Operations (The tools to be used at each process are indicated by letters (a) through (h) below at the end of explanation of the each process.)
  • Page 73 MAC-V700 6.2 ADJUSTMENT OF MECHANICAL OPERATIONS D-guide R 6.2.1 Encoder plate positioning Disc rack R • Objective : Adjust the position of the unit's encoder plate so that the stop position of the carriage base (D-guide L) will be aligned with the disc rack of the disc stocker.
  • Page 74 MAC-V700 (6) Loosen the lock screw until more than 1 mm space for adjustment becomes available (d). (7) If the D-guide is displaced rightward, turn the positioning screw clockwise as necessary. If the D-guide is displaced leftward, turn it counterclockwise as necessary (b). (The travel of the D-guide per rotation of the positioning screw is 0.45 mm.) (8) Fix the lock screw (lock torque 0.6 kg-cm).
  • Page 75 MAC-V700 6.2.2 Carriage Base Tilt Adjustment • Objective : Adjust the positioning of the movable upper side relative to the fixed lower side. Adjust the tilt of the carriage base and align the D-guide R with the disc rack of the disc stocker.
