PLAYBACK
During playback or still, turn the SH U TTLE ring to the

right for forward slow motion, or to the left for reverse
slow motion (refer to the illustration on page 16).

During still picture, press and hold PAU SE for 2
seconds, then release. Press and release again to return
to still picture.

To resume normal playback, press PLAY .
High-Speed (Turbo) Sea rch
ACTIVATE HIGH-SPEED
SEARCH
During playback or still, turn the SH U TTLE ring all the

way to the right for forward high-speed search, or to
the left for reverse high-speed search. Releasing
SH U TTLE resumes still picture playback.

During playback or still, press FF for forward high-
speed search, or REW for reverse high-speed search.
To resume normal playback, press PLAY .
N O TES:
● For short searches, press and hold
or still picture. When released, normal playback resumes.
● Search in D-VHS mode is not possible with cassettes
recorded in D-VHS mode on other D-VHS recorders.

control. During playback, you can override this and adjust the
tracking manually by pressing the TV PRO G buttons.

When a new tape is inserted, the recorder enters the automatic
tracking mode automatically.

SKIP O VER UN WAN TED

Press 30 SEC 1 to 4 times during playback. Each press

initiates a 30-second period of fast-motion playback.
Normal playback resumes automatically.
N O TE:
To return to normal playback during a Skip Search, press PLAY .
N ex t Function M emory
The Next Function Memory "tells" the recorder what to do
after rewinding. Before continuing, make sure the recorder
is in the Stop mode.
