5.6 Setting the time and date
When receiving a DAB + or FM station in sufficient quality, the clock will be set automatically. Depending
on the reception strength, this process may take some time. If no corresponding station is available, you
can also set the time manually:
1. Switch on the radio and call up the menu with <MENU/INFO> button.
2. Using the <TUNE+/-> button or the volume control, select the "Time/Date" menu and confirm.
3. Select "Set time and date" and confirm. Finally, select, set and confirm Day, Month, Year, Hours and
Minutes.
Additional settings in the "Time/Date" menu
The following functions can be set in the "Time/Date" menu:
"Set Hour system": Setting the time format.
Choices: "24 hours system" / "12 hours system"
"Set Date Format": Setting the date format.
Choices: "dd-mm-yyyy" / "mm-dd-yyyy / yyyy-mm-dd"
"Clock style": Setting the Clock design in the Standby mode.
Choices: "Analogue" / "Digital"
"Auto. Update": Setting for automatic time setting.
Choices: "No Update" / "Update from Radio"
5.7 Setting the display illumination
The display illumination can be programmed in 3 brightness levels. The following settings can be made in
the "Backlight" menu:
"Timeout": Time, until the background light of the display is switched off.
Choices: "Always On / 10 sec. / 20 sec. / 30 sec. / 45 sec. / 60 sec. / 90 sec. /
120 sec. / 180 sec."
In the "Always On" mode the background light is not switched off. This shortens the battery life.
"Level": Brightness of the display when the radio is switched on.
Choices: "Low" / "Medium" / "High"
For adjustment, please proceed as follows:
1. Switch on the radio and call up the menu with <MENU/INFO> button.
2. Using the <TUNE+/-> or the volume control select the "Backlight" and then press <ENTER/SCAN>.
3. Using the <TUNE+/-> buttons or the volume control select the "Timeout" or "Level" menu and
confirm with <ENTER/SCAN>.
5.8 Setting the sleep timer
The sleep timer is used to automatically turn off the radio after a preset period of time. For adjustment,
please proceed as follows:
1. Switch on the radio and call up the menu with <MENU/INFO> button.
2. Using the <TUNE+/-> or the volume control select the "Sleep" and then press <ENTER/SCAN>.
3. In the following menu please choose from the following options: "Off / 15 min. / 30 min. / 45 min.
