Safety Precautions
On the inverter and in its instruction manual, important information is contained for preventing injuries to
users, damages to assets, and for proper use of the device.
Read the instruction manual attached to the inverter to understand the safety precautions, the sym-
bols and indications completely.
Please adhere to the contents of these manuals at all times.
Please refer to the inverter's instruction manual for detail functions and operation of this unit.
■ Limitation of use
Never use this option with any device other than TOSVERT series inverters. Doing
so may cause an accident.
Prohibited
■ Handling in general
Never disassemble, modify or repair this option.
The disassembling may cause electric shocks, fire or injuries.
For repairs, call your sales/repair agency.
Never
Disassemble
Do not put or insert foreign objects such as waste cable, bars or wires into this
option. It may lead to electric shocks or fire.
Do not splash water over this option. It may lead to electric shocks or fire.
Do not apply a dropping shock or other physical shocks.
Prohibited
Otherwise, damage or malfunction will result.
Turn off the power immediately in case of any abnormalities such as smoke, smell,
blind display or abnormal noise.
Neglect of these conditions may lead to fire. For repairs, call your sales/repair
agency.
Operate under the environmental conditions prescribed in this instruction manual.
Mandatory
Operations under any other conditions may result in malfunction.
■ Disposal
If you dispose off this option, have it done by a specialist in industrial waste dis-
posal*.
Improper disposal may cause to produce noxious gases and result in accident.
(*) Persons who specialize in the processing of waste and known as "Industrial Waste
Product Collectors and Transporters" or "Industrial Waste Disposal Persons." If the
collection, transport and disposal of industrial waste is done by someone who is not
licensed for that job, it is a punishable violation of the law
(Laws in regard to cleaning and processing of waste materials).
Mandatory
When disposing of the lithium battery of this option, wrap the tape around the lith-
ium battery terminal and insulate it, and dispose of it according to the rules of each
local government.
If the terminals contact with other metal or batteries, this will result in heat rising up,
explosion, and fire.
■ Installation
Do not install or operate this option if it is damaged or any part of it is missing.
Operating the defective product may lead to electric shocks or fire.
For repairs, call your sales/repair agency.
Do not connect a LAN or telephone modular cable to this option.
Prohibited
Doing so may cause a malfunction or accident.
Do not pull on the cable and the connector. It may cause damage or malfunction.
Use an emergency stop device and an additional safety device with your system to
prevent a serious accident due to this option malfunctions.
Usage without any emergency stop device and any additional safety device may
cause an accident or injury.
Use the Toshiba-specified cable for connecting this option.
Mandatory
The use of any other cable may cause a malfunction.
Do not install this option in any place subject to vibrations or it may fall.
This may lead to the product falling and causing injury.

Warranty
■ Warranty period
This product's warranty period is 12 months after the purchase, or 18 months from the manufacture,
whichever precedes the other.
The warranty period of repaired products will not exceed the warranty period before the repair takes
place.
■ Scope of warranty
If a product failure is found during the warranty period due to our negligence, please return the prod-
uct to Toshiba distributor of purchase, for a replacement or repair of the defective component.
The warranty shall only cover the purchased or delivered product itself.
The following circumstances will incur paid service even before the warranty period expires.
- Product replacement or repair when the product is not returned.
- Product failure or damage due to misuse, inappropriate repair or modification of the product.
- Product failure or damage for reasons such as but not limited to a fall after purchase, an accident
during transport, or handling (e.g. smoking) during transport.
- Product failure or damage by natural disasters or unforeseeable external causes such as but not
limited to fire, salt exposure, gas exposure, earthquakes, storms, floods, lightning and abnormal
voltage.
- Product failure or damage by use under inappropriate circumstances, environments or use not
suggested in the product catalog or instruction manual, or use not complying with the original use
intended for the product.
- Product failure or damage by the lack of proper maintenance or replacement of expiring parts
suggested in the instruction manual.
- In case the product is embedded in your equipment, product failure or damage by causes
irrelevant to the product, such as the design of your equipment and software.
- In case the product is embedded in your equipment, product failure that could have been avoided
if your equipment had featured a safety device in compliance with the law that governs your
equipment, or any feature or structure that is considered the norm by the industry standard.
- Any product failure or damage by accidents that were unforeseeable with the technological
standard at shipment.
■ Warranty exemptions
Manual
Irrespective of the warranty period, the warranty shall not cover the following conditions.
- Compensation for any damage not attributed to our negligence.
- Compensation for any loss of business opportunity or income caused by failure of the product.
- All liabilities and compensations for any damage, secondary damage, accidents, damage to any
entity that is not the product and damage to any other operations that arise from special
circumstances, that we may or may not foresee.
- Any compensations for the results of your product replacement, readjustment of the local
equipment after replacement, launch test, inspections, or any other operations.
■ Service after the stop production
Please ask Toshiba distributor of purchase about the stop of production and repair work for each
product.

Case of the trip, it is reset by STOP/RESET key pressed twice.
Up or down for setting parameters.
Same as "MODE key" and "ENT key" of the inverter.
Display "Website (QR code)", "Model information", "Trip information", "Param-

The function is based on inverter series. Refer to the operation manual of
the inverter for the contents and setup. FWD/REV is used forward run/
revers run selection etc., HAND/AUTO is used for local/remote change
