Lift the base cover starting from the bottom edge and push it towards the rear to remove it from the computer. NOTE: Do not lift the base cover directly upwards to remove, as it may damage the rear edge of the cover.

    Steps 1. Connect the battery cable to the connector on the system board. 2. Slide the base cover into its slot until it clicks into place. 3. Tighten the six captive screws to secure the base cover to the computer. Next steps 1.
