7-3 Gear Box

1. Lubrication location: Below the top cover of the gear box, take off the top cover to find the oil
cap marked "OIL", unscrew the cap to see the oil inlet hole. (show on ○

of the 10-step feed selection dial.
The screw with hexagon nut is the
oil drain hole as arrow ○

3. Oil brand and oil exchange time:
Use Shell Tellus Omala 150 and
replace the oil every six months.

7-4 Tailstock Center Line Adjustment

1. First, unclamp the tailstock body clamping lever ○
screws (shown as ○
Determine the direction and amount of the misalignment for adjustment by positioning a test
bar between two dead centers. Unscrew the rear 'gib screw' (say one half turn). Then screw in
front side's gib screw and tighten the other until the required setting or correct alignment is
achieved. Carefully retighten the rear and front gib screws which were loosened before and
recheck alignment. Retighten the two hexagon head screw carefully and re-clamp the tailstock.

2. After tailstock body clamping lever is released, if the handwheel is turning tightly, the probable
cause is that the clamping blocks have not loosened. To solve the situation, please push the
tailstock body clamping lever forward one time for remedy.
