  • Page 13 Use the charger to charge the battery before using it for the first time. A computer can be also used to charge the battery by connecting them via the USB cable. Use only Samsung-approved chargers, batteries, and cables. Unapproved chargers or cables can cause the battery to explode or damage the device.

When you turn on your device for the first time or after performing a data reset, follow the on- screen instructions to set up your device.

Also, the screen turns off and automatically locks if the device is not used for a specified period. It displays widgets, shortcuts to apps, and more. Widgets are small apps that launch specific app functions to provide information and convenient access on your Home screen.

Apps screen The Apps screen displays icons for all apps, including newly installed apps. On the Home screen, tap to open the Apps screen.
