    Preparing Your Phone For Use Inserting Your SIM Card Slide the entire SIM card into the slot in the direction of arrow shown on the compartment, with the metal contacts of the SIM card facing down and the cut corner at the top right.     Phone Book Adding Contacts to the Phone Book The Phone Book will have different formats and data headings depending on whether you have chosen to use a phone book stored on your SIM card or in your phone's memory. The phone book in your phone's memory can store up to 500 contacts.
