Clearing Residual Material
If the shredder no longer shreds material as you expect, remove any residual material from the
cutting mechanism.
1 Press and hold the REV button. The cutting mechanism runs in reverse and releases any ma-
terial remaining in the cutting mechanism.
2 Release the REV button.
3 Switch the device off by pressing the On/Off button.
4 Disconnect the power plug from the power socket.
Caution!
Risk of injury through sharp edge of cutting mechanism! Take the utmost care
when removing the material residue.
5 Remove the residual material carefully from the cutting mechanism using an appropriate
pointed object.
Î You have removed material residue from the cutting mechanism.
Cleaning the Shredder
Clean the shredder at regular intervals.
Caution!
Risk of injury through flash flame! Such flash flames can occur when using air
sprays. Never use air sprays.
1 Switch the device off by pressing the On/Off button.
2 Disconnect the power plug from the power socket.
3 Clean the surface of the housing with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Do not use any aerosols,
solvents or cleaning agents.
