Fast forward/fast reverse (SEARCH) (only by remote
control operation) (page 24)
1 Press the SEARCH MODE key once when a track is
being played back.
2 Press and hold down the ¢ or 4 key.
For forward search:
Keep pressing the ¢ key when a track is being played back.
For reverse search:
Keep pressing the 4 key when a track is being played back.
÷ When you lift your finger off the key, normal playback
will be resumed.
Group Search (only by remote control operation)

1 Press the SEARCH MODE key once when a track is
not being played back.
Press the SEARCH MODE key twice when a track is
being played back.
2 Press the ¢ or 4 key when "GROUP 4/¢" is
being displayed to select the group.
÷ The groups change each time the ¢ or 4 key is
pressed and playback will start from the first track of the
selected group.

1 Press the MENU key once.
2 Press the ¢ or 4 key when "SOUND MODE" is being
displayed to select the desired sound mode.
The mode changes each time the ¢ or 4 key is pressed.
"NORMAL": Cancel the sound mode.
"SoundEQ1"
"SoundEQ2"
"SoundEQ3"
"SoundEQ4"
"SoundEQ5"
"UserPreset": Set the sound of your liking.
Setting the desired sound quality (only by remote control

The sound mode sets the sound quality selected with
"User Preset."
1 Press the MENU key once.
Press the ¢ or 4 key when "SOUND MODE" is being
displayed to select "User Preset".
2 Press the MENU key for 2 or more consecutive seconds
when "User Preset" is being displayed.
3 Press the ¢ or 4 key when "BASS" is being displayed to
set the level of the bass tone.
4 Press the MENU key once when "BASS" is being displayed.
5 Press the ¢ or 4 key when "TREBLE" is being displayed
to set the level of the treble tone.
Select the sound of your liking.
