Getting Started
Power On and Off
J To turn on your HP 10BII, press @. To turn the calculator
off, press the orange shift key (CO), then Π(also written C2
©).
Since the calculator has continuous memory, turning it off
does not affect the information you have stored. To
conserve energy, the calculator turns itself off approximately
10 minutes after you stop using it. The calculator uses two lithium
batteries. If you see the low-battery symbol (<—) in the display, replace
the batteries. Refer to appendix A for more information.
Adjusting the Display Contrast
То change the brightness of the display, hold down @ and then press
or(3.
Simple Arithmetic Calculations
Arithmetic Operators. The following examples demonstrate using the
arithmetic operators ®, О), (2, and ©.
If you press more than one operator consecutively, for example © ©
G9 Ө, ай are ignored except the last one.
If you make a typing mistake while entering a number, press (*) to erase
the incorrect digits.
