Blank Skip (SKIP)
Touch "SKIP" to skip long, unrecorded portions on
the tape. This is most convenient if you quickly want
to skip the remaining unrecorded portions at the end
of the tape and go fast forward to the beginning of
the first music on the reverse side of the tape. At on,
the
"\" mark is shown. However, the blank. skip
operation will not work if:
@ The "REP" is on. The repeat function has priority
over that of the blank.skip function.
Repeat (REP)
Touch "REP" to repeat the same music you are now
listening to.
@ Touch "REP". At on, the "& " mark is shown. Af-
ter finishing the music just listened to, the rewind
starts automatically until the beginning of music,
and the same music starts playing again.
When you want to cancel repeat operation, touch
"REP" again. The " & " mark goes out.
In the following conditions, REPEAT may not perform properly
when:
@
The blank space between recorded programs is less than
4 seconds.
The cassette tape has an interrupting conversation record-
ing. (There may be more than 4 sec. blank space in that
portion of the tape.)
There is a portion of the tape where the sound level is par-
ticularly low or there is no sound.
The remaining playing time of a song is less than 10 sec.
preceding the beginning of the next song before the RE-
PEAT function is turned on.
Pauae ( II )
Touch
"i " to stop tape play temperarily. At on, the
"'&" mark is shown.
Touch again to resume tape play. The " &" mark goes
out.
Tape Scan (>>)
Touch "PPI", At on, the " \" mark is shown. The level indicators move
clockwise. During tape scan operation, the " PLAY " indicator blinks and
every song from next song on same side of the cassette tape you are lis-
tening to is scanned for several seconds. When you hear the desired
music and you want to keep it, touch "PP". Tape playback will resume
from that position. The " \ " mark goes out.
NOTE: When scan operation reaches at the end of the tape, the tape
scan operation will stop. The tape direction will change and tape play-
back will resume from the opposite side automatically. The "\ " mark
goes off.
in the following conditions, SCAN may not perform
properly when:
®@ The blank space between recorded programs is
less than 4 seconds.
@ When the blank space between the lead-in tape
and the first music is less than 10 sec. (after
auto-reverse
had operated).
It will, however,
start working regularly from following second
music and so on.
