This unit features self-diagnostics. When trouble is detected, an error message is
displayed immediately in the time counter display on the lower contro] panel, and
also on the monitor. (To display error messages on the monitor, the monitor must
be connected to the VIDEO OUTPUT 3 (SUPER) connector, and the
CHARACTER switch on the system panel must be set to ON.)
