Tips for successful brewing
Fine, well prepared coffee is enjoyed by
- almost everyone. The following tips can
help to assure that your coffee will have
that fresh, full flavored taste avery time:
~
Always use fresh cold water.
-
Use fresh, top quality coffee beans.
After you have found a coffee that you
like, freshness is perhaps the most
important quantity; oils in the coffee
beans can turn rancid with age, spoiling
the flavor.
|
Keep unused coffee in a tightly sealed
container in your refrigerator or freezer.
~
Experiment, to learn how much ground
coffee to use for the strength of coffee .
you prefer. Tastes vary and there are no |
hard and fast rules.
|
As your first trial we recommend, trying
one heaping tablespoon for every three
cups (for 10 cups use 3% tablespoons).
From this point vary to taste, until you
find the amount you prefer; then make a
note of your preference.

-
For best flavor, serve coffee immediately
after brewing.
Clean the coffee maker's carafe and
filter basket, and gold filter (if used), after
each use.
Descale (decalcify) the coffee maker on
a regular basis.

The Bosch coffee grinder can hold up to
2% ounces of coffee beans. There are
various types of coffee makers and each
type will have a recommended grind and a
recommended amount of coffee to be used
to yield the best results. Below, in Table 1,
you will find listed the commonly recom-
mended grinds for many of the various
coffee makers on the market. These are
