CAUTIONS WHEN MOUNTING HEAD AFTER REPLACEMENT

Please read the following very carefully before adjusting
the head height and azimuth.
1. Make sure that the tape properly contacts the head.
'When mounting the head to the head base plate, use
care with the following:
1-1. Position relationship between the head, tape
and pad:
1-2. Mounted head angle adjustments:
a) Adjust the position of the head (recrod head,
playback head) until ZA and 7B, shown in
Fig. 27, and equal.
ZA= ZB
b) The felt contacts, the pad plate, and the
most protruding part of the head front are
at a right angle, as described in 1-2 a above,
and in the surface contact, as shown in Fig.
28.
