Setting
the Sleep
Timer
You
can
enjoy
falling
asleep
to
the radio
using
the
built-in
sleep
timer
that
rums
off
the radio
automatically
after
a preset duration.

Press
RADIO/SLEEP
repeatedly.
The
radio turns
on and
the
"On"
indication will
appear
initially
in
the
display.
The
radio
will
rum
off
automatically
after
the selected preset
duration
has
elapsed.
Each
rime
you
press
RADIO/SLEEP,
the
duration
changes
as follows.

To
turn
off
the radio before the preset
duration
has
elapsed, press
SNOOZE/SLEEP
OFF.
Installing
the
batteries into
the
remote
control
(see
Fig.

Install
two R6
(size
AA)
batteries
(not
suppUed)
into
the battery
compartment
of the
remote
control.
Before operating the
remote
control,
please
read
the following instructions
and
then
see
"Using
the
Remote
Control".

lid.

with
correct
polarity.

When
to replace the
batteries
To
check
the
remaining
battery
power, go
near
the
CD
clock radio
and
operate the
remote
control.
If
the
remote
control
does not
operate,
replace
both
batteries
with
new
ones.
Notes
Do
not charge the
dry
batteries.
When
you
are
not going
to
use
the
remote
control
for
a
long
time,
remove
the
batteries to
avoid
any
damage
caused
by
battery
leakage
and
corrosion.
Using the
Remote
Control
You
can
play the
CD,
radio, set
the sleep
timer
c.
use
the
SNOOZE/SLEEP OFF
function.
The
effective
range
of the
frequency emitted
from
the
remote
control
is
approximately
5m
(16ft).
Make
sure
to
use
the
remote
control
within
this
range.
The
control
buttons
on
the
remote
control are the
same
as the control
buttons
on
the
main
unit
as
descibed below:
The

same
as the
SNOOZE/SLEEP OFF
button
on
the
main
unit.
The

on

remote
control
is
the
same
as the

RADIO/SLEEP on

main
unit.
The
ALARM
RESET/OFF on
the
remote
control
is
the
same
as the
ALARM
RESET/OFF on
the
main
unit.

USE
Power
Source
Connect
the appliance to a
power
supply only
of the type described
in the
operating
instructions
or
as
marked on
the appliance.
Grounding
or
Polarization
Do
not
defeat the
grounding
or
polarization feature of the
AC
power
cord.
If
your
AC
receptacle
will
not
accept the
power
cord
plug, contact
your
electrician to
install
a proper
AC
receptacle.
AC
Receptacle
Check
to
make
sure
that
the
AC
receptacle
holds
the
power
cord plug
firmly
and
securely.
If
the
power
cord plug
is
loose,
contact
your
electrician to
replace the defective
and
unsafe
AC
receptacle.
Power-Cord
Protection
Route
the
power
cord so
that
it
is
not
likely to
be walked
on
or
pinched
by
having
objects
placed
on
it,
paying
particular attention to
the plugs,
receptacles,
and
the
point
where
the
cord
exits
from
the appliance.
When
not
in
use
Unplug
the
power
cord
of the
'appliance
from
the
outlet
when
left
unused
for
a long period of
