CAUTION
Saturate a cleaning tip (accessory X-36090-19-0)
with SONY cleaning fluid (accessory Y-20310-01-0)
or
methanol
(spray
cleaner,
such
as
M/S-brand
magnetic
head
cleaner.)
Rub
the
cleaning
tip
across the head tip from side to side.
Avoid vertical
motion which might damage the video head.

Head degaussing:
Through
constant
use, the heads
may
become
magnetized resulting in a noisy picture.
Bring the
tip of the degausser
(SONY
model
HE-2) as close
as possible to the head
tip without contacting the
head.
Then
remove
the degausser
very slowly at
least three feet from
the head, before
turning off
the degausser.
