Intended use
The appliance is exclusively intended for dehumidifying the air in enclosed rooms. The appliance is suitable for rooms up to 10 m 2 in size and a temperature of at least 10°C. The appliance is only intended for domestic use, and not for commercial purposes. Any usage other than that described above is not permitted and may result in injury and/or damage to the appliance. The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage caused by improper application or usage. The user is the sole bearer of the risk.
Initial operation

This appliance is supplied with the following components as standard:
- Dehumidifier
- Power adapter
- This operating manual
NOTE
- Check the contents for completeness and for signs of visible damage.
- If the contents are not complete, or are damaged due to defective packaging or through transportation, contact the Service Hotline (see chapter Service).
Disposal of packaging
The packaging protects the appliance from transport damage. The packaging materials have been selected in accordance with their environmental friendliness and disposal attributes, and are therefore recyclable.
Returning the packaging to the material cycle conserves raw materials and reduces the amount of waste that is generated. Dispose of packaging material that is no longer needed in accordance with applicable local regulations.
Before initial use
- Remove all packaging materials and all transport securing appliances from the appliance.
Electrical connection
- Before connecting the appliance compare the specifications for the required input voltage on the rating plate with the intended voltage source for operation. This data must agree in order to avoid damaging the appliance.
- The power adapter connected to the appliance must always be easily accessible so that the appliance can be quickly disconnected from the mains power supply in an emergency.
- Ensure that the appliance power adapter cable is not damaged and that it is not laid over hot surfaces and/or sharp edges, otherwise it could be damaged.
- Ensure that the power adapter connecting cable is not tightly stretched or kinked.
- Connect the power adapter to the appliance by plugging the connecting plug into the connection socket on the rear of the appliance.

Handling and use
This section provides you with important information on handling and using the appliance.
Switching the appliance on/off
- Plug the connecting plug into the connection socket on the appliance.
- Plug the power adapter into a mains power socket.
- Switch the on/off switch to position "I" to switch the appliance on. The green "ON" LED lights up.
- Switch the on/off switch to the "0" position to switch the appliance off. The green "ON" LED goes out.
NOTE
- The water tank must be completely inserted into the appliance otherwise the condensate will not be collected correctly.
Emptying the water tank
The appliance is fitted with an "auto-stop function" as soon as the water tank is filled with around 370 ml (MAX marking). The appliance then switches off automatically and the red "Full" LED lights up.
- Switch the on/off switch to the "0" position to switch the appliance off.
- Hold the water tank using the front grip recess and pull it carefully out of the appliance so that water does not spill out.
- Pour out the water by using the spout and push the water tank back into the appliance.
NOTE
- The water tank must be inserted fully into the appliance, otherwise the appliance cannot be switched on.
- Switch the on/off switch to position "I" to switch the appliance on.

Fault rectification
This section contains important information on fault localisation and rectification.
Observe the following safety information to avoid risks and property damage:
- Repairs to electrical appliances may only be carried out by specialists trained by the manufacturer. Improper repairs can pose considerable risk to users and can cause damage to the appliance.
Malfunction causes and remedies
The following table will help with localising and remedying minor malfunctions:

NOTE
- If you cannot solve the problem with any of the aforementioned methods, please contact the Customer Service department.
Cleaning
Possible damage to the appliance!
- Protect the appliance from moisture and liquid penetration.
- To avoid irreparable damage to the appliance, never submerse the appliance in water.
- Ensure that you remove the power adapter from the mains power socket before cleaning the appliance.
- Do not use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents, as these can damage the surface of the housing.
- Never clean the water tank in a dishwasher. Otherwise it can be damaged.
- Clean the water tank regularly every two weeks to avoid mould and bacteria. To do this, fill the water tank with lukewarm water and add a commercial detergent. Rinse it out several times with lukewarm water. Furthermore, we recommend disinfecting after cleaning. To do this, use a commercial, alcohol-based disinfectant or one containing a high percentage of alcohol. Both substances are completely harmless if you rinse out several times with lukewarm water afterwards.
- Remove any dust deposits on the air intake and outlet openings ( + ) using a soft brush or vacuum cleaner. In order to clean the interior cooling ribs, remove the cover on the air outlet opening , and pull the water tank out of the appliance. Also clean the cooling ribs with a soft brush or a vacuum cleaner.
- Clean the housing only with a soft damp cloth and a mild washing-up liquid.
Storage
- Disconnect the power adapter from the appliance and empty the water tank , if you are not intending to use the appliance for some time.
- Store the appliance in a dry and dust-free environment.

* The lower the room temperature and the colder the external temperature, the lower the moisture content stored in the air will be. Air then flows from outside into the room to be dehumidified. For this reason, dehumidifying performance decreases with decreasing temperature, and can drop to zero. This does not indicate a defect of the appliance.

Risks from electric current
Danger to life due to electric current!
Danger to life on contact with live cables or components!
Observe the following safety instructions to avoid risks from electrical current:
- Do not use the appliance if the power adapter, the power cable or the plug connector are damaged.
- On no account open the power adapter. There is a risk of receiving an electric shock if live connections are touched or the electrical and/or mechanical construction is changed.
Basic safety instructions
For safe handling of the appliance, follow the safety information below:
- Before use, check the appliance for visible external damage. Do not use an appliance that has been damaged or dropped.
- To avoid possible risks, arrange for damaged cables or connectors to be replaced by an authorised specialist or the Customer Service department.
- Do not operate the appliance outdoors.
- Always keep doors and windows closed when operating the appliance so that it can work effectively.
- Do not operate the appliance in the vicinity of easily flammable gases or materials, in the vicinity of naked flames or in locations where oil or water can splash.
- This appliance may be used by children aged 8 over and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, provided that they are under supervision or have been told how to use of the appliance safely and are aware of the potential risks. Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance tasks must not be carried out by children unless they are supervised.
- Only have repairs carried out by authorised specialist companies or the Customer Service department. Improper repairs can pose significant risks to the user. Warranty claims also become void.
- This appliance must not be exposed to rain. Protect the appliance against moisture and the penetration of liquids and objects into the housing. Never submerge the appliance in water and do not place objects filled with liquids (such as vases) on the appliance. The appliance could be irreparably damaged!
- Avoid direct sunlight.
- Operate the appliance only with the supplied power adapter.
- In the case of a malfunction occurring or a thunderstorm, disconnect the power adapter from the mains power socket.
- Always ensure that the air intake and outlet are free of dirt during operation. Never cover the appliance!
- Always place the appliance on flat, level surfaces so that it cannot tip over.
- Place the appliance at a minimum distance of 15 cm from walls or other objects so that good air circulation is guaranteed.
- Before cleaning, always remove the power adapter from the mains power socket.
