This modem modulates the data to be transmitted and demodulates the
received data according to CCITT-recommendation V26/V26bis. The mode
of coding (Alternate A or B) is chosen by the comsec controller. By
means of the signal SELFTEST the comsec controller can activate the
internal self-test of the modem.
