= First, proper mounting of the RAM
cartridge
(CE-651M/CE-652M) is checked. If not
= RAM

mounted, the test terminates with the
following message on display.

8 Next, closing of the cartridge cover is checked.
If not closed, the following message is displayed
and you must respond by closing the cover.

in the RAM
cartridge is divided into four
8KB banks of O thru 3, and each bank is write/

read tested one at a time.
If no failure was met, the number of the respec-
tive bank is displayed and printed with an OK
sign.

® For the CE-651M (8KB) RAM cartridge, the test
terminates with the Ex-1 message displayed and
printed, when the cartridge test has been success-
ful, Since banks, 1,2, and 3 do not exist for
the CE-651M
which is an 8KB chip.
® In the case of the CE-652M (32KB), the read
test is conducted after completion of the write/
read test from bank 0 ta bank 3 to do the
repeated write test among chips. Note that the
contents of the RAMs are destroyed.
