0 Preparing the Camera
You should already have attached a power source
to the camera and loaded a cassette. When you
have completed the following steps, you will be
ready to start recording.
• Release the Velcro fastening and hold the
camera with your right hand while you adjust the
belt with your left.
■ Turn the camera on by turning the program
selector to a CAMERA setting.
• Slide the STANDBY switch to STANDBY.
• Adjust the viewfinder to suit your eyesight by
sliding the focusing lever until the viewfinder
displays are clearly focused.
• The viewfinder rotates through 90° to give a
choice of shooting positions.
• For extra security and portability, attach the
shoulder strap before using the camera.
• Pass the ends through the attachment bars and
adjust the length as shown.
Prepare the lens cap
• Attach the cord to the eyelet on the lens cap, as
shown.
• Pass the end of the grip belt through the loop on
the other end of the cord.
• Hook the lens cap onto the grip belt while you are
recording, and place it over the lens when you
have finished.
Attach the shoulder strap
