Service personnel are required to carefully read the OPERATION MANUAL and INSTALLATION MANUAL before operation.
Further information is available in the OPERATION MANUAL, INSTALLATION MANUAL, and the like.

1.1. Before installation and electric work

► Before installing the unit, make sure you read all the "Safety
precautions".
► The "Safety precautions" provide very important points regarding
safety. Make sure you follow them.
► Please report to or take consent by the supply authority before
connection to the system.
► PUMY-SM·VKM series complying with IEC/EN 61000-3-12
► PUMY-SM·VKM series is designed for use in the residential,
commercial and light-industrial environment.
► PUMY-SM·YKM series is designed as professional equipment.

Warning:
Carefully read the labels affixed to the main unit.
This mark is for R32 refrigerant only. Refrigerant type is written on nameplate of outdoor unit.
In case that refrigerant type is R32, this unit uses a flammable refrigerant.
If refrigerant leaks and comes in contact with fire or heating part, it will create harmful gas and there is risk of fire.

HIGH VOLTAGE WARNING:
Control box houses high-voltage parts.
When opening or closing the front panel of the control box, do not let it
come into contact with any of the internal components.
Before inspecting the inside of the control box, turn off the power,
keep the unit off until the main DC bus voltage on outdoor power
circuit board has dropped to DC20V or less.
(For the amount of time required for the voltage to drop to DC20V or
below, refer to the wiring diagram of the target model)
Warning:
The unit must not be installed by the user. Ask a dealer or an
authorized technician to install the unit. If the unit is installed
incorrectly, water leakage, electric shock, or fire may result.
The unit must be securely installed on a structure that can sustain its
weight.
If the unit is mounted on an unstable structure, it may fall down and
cause damage or injuries.
When installing the unit, use appropriate protective equipment and
tools for safety. Failure to do so could cause injuries.
Use only specified cables for wiring. The wiring connections must be
made securely with no tension applied on the terminal connections.
Also, never splice the cables for wiring (unless otherwise indicated
in this document). Failure to observe these instructions may result in
overheating or a fire.
The unit must be installed according to the instructions in order to
minimize the risk of damage from earthquakes, typhoons, or strong
winds. An incorrectly installed unit may fall down and cause damage
or injuries.
