GAIN UP
When the recorder's VTR switch is set to ON, "W
BAL" automatically appears in the viewfinder.
When you press the camera's AWB button to
adjust white balance, "W BAL" starts blinking
faster. When white balance is adjusted, the display
changes to "W BAL OK". The display disappears
within a few seconds.
• As long as white balance is not adjusted, "W
BAL" will continue to blink slowly.
• This display appears both in the recording and
pause modes until white balance is adjusted.
When the camera's standby/operate switch is set
to UP, "GAIN UP" appears in the viewfinder.
• This display appears only in the pause mode.
• To cancel the display, press display button®
(ON/OFF button).

BLC
When the backlight compensation switch is set to
ON, "BLC" appears in the viewfinder.
• This display appears only in the pause mode.
© Battery Warning Display
When the Canon Battery Pack BP-31 or BP-32 is
used, the blinking "BATTERY" display appears
when the battery charge is nearly exhausted.
When the battery warning appears, check the
recorder's battery level indicator to find out the
amount of charge remaining. Recharge the battery
or replace it with a fresh one as needed.
• This display appears in both recording and
pause modes as long as the battery is
exhausted.
