Get started

  • AAA alkaline batteries can be used to operate the headphones, but cannot be charged with this system.

Note

  • Only use Philips rechargeable shortened sleeve NiMH batteries with your headphones. Other types of rechargeable batteries cannot be charged with this system.
  • Before using the headphones for the first time, charge the supplied batteries for at least 5 hours.
  • If the volume of the audio source is insugent, the transmitter automatically turns off.
  • The Transmitter does not transmit audio signal when you charge the battery.

Start up

  1. Put the Antenna tube on the transmitter.
  2. Connect the power adaptor to main power socket and 3.5mm plug to Transmitter.
  3. Pull out the ear cushion on the left ear shell. Insert the supplied AAA x2 batteries.

  4. Plug in the charging cable to the headphone's charging socket to charge the headphones. The LED at the transmitter will flashing "GREEN". When charging finished, the LED will steady "GREEN" at the transmitter.

Connect

  1. Connect the audio device
    Connect the audio device with a 3.5 mm audio output. Connect one side of the supplied 3.5 mm audio cable to the 3.5 mm audio input of the Transmitter and another side to the 3.5 mm audio output.

  2. Power on the headphones
    Press the power button on the headphones. The LED will glow "GREEN" at the headphones.
  3. Adjust the input volume
    For device with 3.5mm audio output (e.g. TV), turn up the volume level on headphones will not respond if the connecting device volume level is too low.
  4. Auto tune
    • Press the auto-tune button on the headphones for a second to tune to the signal channel automatically.
    • Select the best channel
      If there is interference, switch to another signal channel in transmitter. Then press the auto-tune button on the headphones to repeat tuning.

Tip

  • The white LED on transmitter turns off after 5 minutes.

Frequently asked questions

I cannot hear any sound

  • Make sure that you connect the power source and adapter correctly (see 'Connect the audio device').
  • Make sure that you adjust the volume to an appropriate level.
  • Make sure that the batteries are charged and inserted properly to the battery charging slot (see 'Get started').
  • Check if the LED on the transmitter is white.
  • Batteries are defective. Purchase new ones with the same specifications.

The sound is distorted

  • The volume level at the audio source is set too high.
  • The headphones is nearly out of range. Move it closer to the transmitter.
  • The headphones receive interference from the nearby electrical appliances. Move the transmitter away from them.
  • The headphones is at a location with thick walls. Move the transmitter away from them.
  • Adjust the channel setting (see 'Get started').
  • Adjust the volume of the audio device.

When I move my head I hear interfering noise

The interference can be caused by another wireless device like Bluetooth, WiFi, router or 2.4 GHz devices. Move the wireless device away.

The audio quality is poor

  • The headphones is out of range. Reduce the distance between your headphones and audio device, or remove obstacles between them.
  • Adjust the channel setting (see 'Get started').
  • Adjust the volume of the audio device.

The specification shows an operating range of 100 meters. Why is the actual range shorter?
The operating range is limited by obstacles like thick walls, doors or ceiling. Move the headphones closer to the transmitter.

Hearing Safety



Ÿ To avoid hearing damage, limit the time you use headphones at high volume and set the volume to a safe level. The louder the volume, the shorter the safe listening time is.
Be sure to observe the following guidelines when using your headset.

  • Listen at reasonable volumes for reasonable periods of time.
  • Be careful not to adjust the volume continuously upwards as your hearing adapts.
  • Do not turn up the volume so high that you can't hear what's around you.
  • You should use caution or temporarily discontinue use in potentially hazardous situations.
  • Excessive sound pressure from earphones and headphones can cause hearing loss.
  • Using headphones with both ears covered while driving is not recommended and may be illegal in some areas while driving.
  • For your safety, avoid distractions from music or phone calls while in traffic or other potentially dangerous environments.

General information

To avoid damage or malfunction:

  • Do not expose headphones and transmitter to excessive heat.
  • Do not drop your headphones and transmitter.
  • Headphones and transmitter shall not be exposed to dripping, splashing water.
  • Do not allow your headphones and transmitter to be submerged in water.
  • Do not use any cleaning agents containing alcohol, ammonia, benzene, or abrasives.
  • If cleaning is required use a soft cloth, if necessary dampened with a minimum amount of water or diluted mild soap, to clean the product.
  • The integrated battery shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, re or the like.
  • Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent type.

About operating and storage temperatures and humidity

  • Operate or store in a place where temperature is between -10°C (14°F) and 60°C (140°F) (up to 90% relative humidity.
  • Battery life may be shorter in high or low temperature conditions.
