Problem
Your LIFEBOOK T ablet PC
turns off all by itself.
Your Tablet PC will not
work on battery alone.
The battery seems to 
discharge too quickly.
Possible Cause
The power management
parameters are set for auto
timeouts which are too short
for your operating needs.
Your power adapter has failed
or lost its power source.
You ignored a low battery
alarm until the battery entered
Dead Battery Suspend mode.
You have a battery failure.
The installed battery is dead.
No battery is installed.
The battery is improperly
installed.
Your installed battery is faulty.
The power savings features
may be disabled.
You're running an application
that uses a lot of power due to
frequent drive access, or use
of LAN, WLAN, or Bluetooth.
92 - Troubleshooting
Possible Solutions
Press any button on the keyboard, or move the mouse to
restore operation. If that fails, push Power/Suspend/Resume
switch. Check your power management settings, or close
your applications and go to Power Options located in the
Control Panel to adjust timeouts to better suit your needs.
Make sure the adapter is plugged in and the outlet has
power.
Install a power adapter, then push the Power/Sus-
pend/Resume switch. See "Power Sources" on page 58.
Verify the condition of the battery using the Status Indicator
panel. If the battery is shorted, replace or remove it. See
"Status Indicator Panel" on page 28.
Replace the battery with a charged one or install a power
adapter.
Install a charged battery.
Verify that the battery is properly connected by re-installing it.
Verify the condition of the battery using the Status Indicator
panel and replace or remove any batteries that are shorted.
See "Status Indicator Panel" on page 28.
Check the Power Options menu settings and adjust accord-
ing to your operating needs.
Use a power adapter for this application when at all possible.
