Adjust the distance between your computers by bringing your computer closer to
others and remove any obstructions that may impede the communication; then, try
to connect again.
Confirm the IP address and the subnet mask of each computer are set correctly.
Confirm the WEP keys are correctly set to your computer if the WEP security of
the communicated computers is enabled.
Why is the connection to the access point unstable?
Your computer supports 108Mbps wireless networking speeds provided by Super
G technology and automatically changes the communication speed according to an
access point connected. The 108Mbps communication speed may cause the
unstable connection. Try to disable the 108Mbps mode (Turbo mode) of the
connected access point.
Follow these steps to reconfigure the wireless LAN settings.
1.
Click start – Control Panel.
2.
Click Network and Internet Connections.
3.
Click Network Connections.
4.
Click Wireless Network Connection and the Change settings of this connection
string in the Network Tasks field.
5.
Click the Configure... button.
6.
Click the Advanced tab and select the Super Mode in the Property list.
7.
Select Disabled in the Value pull-down menu.
8.
Click OK and close the window.
How can I detect the MAC address?
Follow the instructions below:
1.
Click start – All Programs – Accessories – Command Prompt.
2.
Type ipconfig/all; then, press Enter. The information about IP appears.
3.
See the numbers of Physical Address in Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection
section (for LAN) or Ethernet adapter Wireless Network Connection section (for
Wireless LAN).
Type exit; then, press Enter.
